Edith and Caroline attend GRC in Les Diablerets

Last week, Edith Sandström (left) and Caroline Bouvier (right) attended the Gordon Research Conference on Scientific Methods in Cultural Heritage Research in Les Diablerets, Switzerland, from 7 to 12 July. The conference provided a platform for the international cultural heritage science community to come together and exchange insights on the latest developments and challenges in the field. Both researchers presented their work on imaging mass spectrometry (IMS) development and its application on heritage samples, sparking valuable discussions with like-minded scientists during the poster sessions. The event underscored the increasing interest in IMS among researchers, particularly in the realm of heritage samples, and the most memorable aspect of the conference was the shared enthusiasm for engaging in these thought-provoking discussions, even at the glacier's summit at 3000 meters.
